The Portugal Tools

Build your budgetThese are planning estimates. Portuguese tax and visa rules change with each annual budget and each municipal decision. Every tool names the law and the year behind its arithmetic so you can check the current wording, and every guide links to the authority that owns the rule.
How we choose what to calculate
A calculator earns its place here only if the rule behind it is public, current, and specific enough to put a number on. That rules out anything that depends on a caseworker's discretion, and it rules out anything where the honest answer is “it depends on your treaty position”.
What remains is the arithmetic people actually plan around: what a salary leaves behind, what property tax costs each year, whether an income line clears a visa benchmark, and what a month of ordinary life costs in five different places. Each tool page explains the method in full, including the parts it leaves out.
